It’s okay to feel things. It’s okay to disagree. It’s okay to pause because you don’t have the mental bandwidth. It’s okay to have courageous conversations about things that matter. When things are going great, awesome. How can we lean into that? When things are horrible, okay. What do we need to do next? We make informed decisions based on the facts we have at the time; as we learn more, or as circumstances change, we pivot. 

TWO. We try to make the world a better place. 

A rising tide lifts all boats in the harbour. Competition is okay. It’s like being in the classroom. Some students are going to love you. Some students are going to love a different teacher. And that’s okay. We want there to be different voices because that gives people choice. A student choosing another teacher to be their favourite teacher doesn’t take away from me. It’s not a comment on my teaching ability, or whether other people like my teaching style. 

THREE. We make an ethical profit 

We are not a charity. It’s okay to make money. We try to do it in a way that is win:win for all stakeholders.

FOUR. We’re not perfect.  

We make mistakes. It’s okay to make mistakes if we 1) own up to the mistakes and 2) improve and learn from our mistakes(i.e. accountability and transparency).
